A Detailed and Honest Review of Keyword Canine
**Keyword Canine is now available again**
Keyword Canine is the latest product to come out from software developer and SEO expert, Jonathan Leger. He has also collaborated on this project with article marketing and adsense expert, Josh Spalding. Personally, whenever I see that Jon Leger is releasing a new software product I always buy it. The main reasons for that are that all of his products are of extremely high quality and are always beneficial to my business.
But Jon does not just release a software tool and then forget about it, he constantly updates his tools and makes them better and better. He also listens to what his customers say, and implements any good ideas that his customers put forward on his forum. If you own his “Best Spinner” product, you will know how much effort he puts into making the tool as good as it possibly can be. So Keyword Canine for me is another excellent acquisition.
What Does Keyword Canine Do?
Keyword Canine is a keyword and niche research tool. But what I love about Keyword Canine is its simplicity. When you use it you won’t be boggled by hundreds of different factors that you need to analyze and make a determination on whether a keyword is good or not based on these factors. Keyword Canine does all of the technical calculations for you and then gives you a final result on any keyword that you give it, based on the algorithm that it uses to determine the level of competition for any keyword.
The algorithm that Jon has used in the tool is based on all of the main factors of the competing pages, such as page rank, the amount of links coming into a site and, how well optimized the other sites are for the chosen keyword to name just a few. So when you type in any keyword, then Keyword Canine will go about collecting all the data it needs to give you a result on how hard it will be for you to rank for this keyword (it just takes a few seconds to collect all of this data and give you the results).
You will then be told if the keyword is “easy” “medium” “hard” or “very hard” to rank for. It will also give you information on the top 10 search results for that keyword so you can see what the competition is and how many backlinks they have to the actual page, and site, the page rank of each site. It will also give you a other important information about each keyword, such as the local and global monthly searches, the cost per click (CPC) of each keyword, the advertiser competition (good to know if you are looking for keywords for adsense sites) and the amount of competing pages (both quoted and unquoted).

A new feature that Jon has just added is the ability to analyze all of the top 10 competing sites for any keyword (or you can analyze any site that you like, you just input the URL and Keyword Canine will get the information for you). What you can find here is the anchor text break down and page rank break down of all of the backlinks that any page has. It also tells you how many of the backlinks to any page are “No Follow” and “Do Follow”. Now this really gives you the ability to fully analyze all of your potential competition for any keyword phrase.

All of these features for the keyword research module of Keyword Canine make it very easy to find a lot of good keywords to target for your projects. You get so much information about each keyword so you can make a very informed decision as to whether or not the keyword will be worth going after or not.
Niches Module of Keyword Canine
One of my favorite things about Keyword Canine is the “Niches” module. Jon has created a database of tens of millions of keywords (this is being added to all the time also) that Keyword Canine will find niches for you and allow you to find niches and keywords that you probably would never have thought of before, and in many cases you may never have known that they even existed.
What makes this even better is that you can fix any search parameters when using the niches module, so if you only wanted to see listings for keywords that are categorized as “easy” keywords, then only these will show. If you only wanted keywords that have a minimum CPC of $1, then again you can set this parameter and only the keywords with a CPC of $1 or more will show (another great option for finding good adsense keywords). You can also set search volume and page rank parameters too, so you really can narrow down the search results here.

For me, this module is worth way more than the price of the product alone. But as you get the keyword research module in Keyword Canine too, it really does make it another excellent software tool from Jonathan Leger, and because it is from him you know it is just going to get better and better as time goes on and he keeps adding updates to it.
